The Last Of Us' Third Episode Has A Two-Hour Director's Cut

The Last Of Us HBO's third episode tested viewers in the most intense way yet, and not in the way anyone expected. A greatly altered version of Bill and Frank's relationship was the subject of the show's latest episode, and if you weren't crying uncontrollably from about the halfway point onwards, then you are clearly made of sterner stuff than most who have watched it so far. As if the 72-minute love story wasn't hard enough to see through all the tears, apparently there's a two-hour director's cut out there somewhere. That reveal was made by showrunner Craig Mazin during an interview with Deadline (thanks, Game sRadar). Episode three's director Pet er Hoar originally submitted the two-hour version to Mazin and cutting out a chunk of it must have been quite a daunting task. Two Earth-like Planets Discovered in Habitable Zone

Image
Two Earth-like planets have been discovered by astronomers in the habitable zone of their planetary system less than sixteen light-years away from Earth. A solar system’s habitable zone is the small area around a star, where liquid water is capable of forming. According to scientists, this zone, also referred to as the “Goldilocks zone,” where planets are neither too hot nor too cold, is pivotal for there to be any chance of life as we know it. This is also vital in our own solar system in whose habitable zone Earth and Mars sit. The two extra-solar planets, or “exoplanets,” which have been determined to possess masses similar to that of Earth, orbit a tiny red dwarf—a small, old, relatively cool star— named GJ 1002. The star, with a habitable zone quite close to it, is just one-eighth the mass of our Sun. The two planets are among the closest to Earth that possibly possess the right conditions for life. The seller also asked that the price be kept secret , he said. But he added: “We were asking for $400,000 and it obviously wasn’t far from that.” David McCarthy, Kagin’s chief numismatist, said he could only reveal that the buyer is “a prominent bay area collector” who sp

National Geographic Magazine has covered thousands of topics since its inception, from lovely, peaceful Balinese dancers to controversial topics such as the brutal killing of Animals by poachers and those convinced of the magical properties of certain animal parts. For almost 130 years, National Geographic magazine has been awakening people’s interest in far away, unknown countries, their foods and customs, and above all, those who live there, both human and not. And this is of course why Nati

JUST WOW! More Stunning Images Of A Distant Galaxy From JWST

Exceptional beauty or ancient terror. These are simply two descriptions of the most recent image of M74, a huge and close spiral galaxy.   JWST captured the infrared images by gazing through the layers of the galaxy to concentrate on the galaxy’s hot gas, dust, and some of its stars. essentially anything that emits mid-infrared light. Judy Schmidt, an accomplished space image processor, prepared the picture; her work speaks for itself. The picture of M74 was obtained by translating three mid-infrared observations of the telescope into visible colors. Red was added to the emission of the longest wavelength (21 microns). The one measuring 11.3 microns was colored orange, while the one measuring 7.7 microns was colored cyan. Using a grayscale of 10-micron readings, the total luminance was determined. And the outcome is this fantastic composition. The PHANG Study seeks to survey stars, star clusters, and dust in 19 neighboring galaxies that have already been detected by the Ata

Minecraft Players Are Shocked At How Big The Sniffer Mob Is

A Mojang developer has given Minecraft players an early look at the upcoming Sniffer Mob, showing that it's a lot bigger than any of us expected it to be. Late last year, Mojang let Minecraft fans decide what new Mob would be added to the Game next, letting them choose between the Rascal, the Tough Golem, and the Sniffer. The Sniffer ended up winning the vote, which wasn't too much of a surprise considering Minecraft players had already taken to it quite quickly, making it a clear fan-favourite. Related: Minecraft Fans Share How They Would Design A Final Update At the time of the vote, Minecraft fans only had a pixelated version of the Mob to base their choice on, but Mojang artist wChiwi has shared a new look at the Mob over on Twitter with a brief Game play video. Harry Maguire praises Man Utd's squad depth after losing starting spot

Harry Maguire has spoken of the importance of Manchester United's squad depth as the club continues to battle for trophies on four fronts. The Red Devils face Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday looking to close the eight-point gap between themselves and the Gunners. That clash comes ahead of an EFL Cup semi-final first-leg meeting with Nottingham Forest, while United are also in the fourth round of the FA Cup and face Barcelona in the Europa League next month. With so much to play for, it's important Erik ten Hag rotates his squad to keep everyone fresh, competitive and free of injury. Despite any frustrations at starting just two of United's last eight matches since the World Cup, centre-back Maguire knows the value of having competition for places. “I think subs throughout our season have been really important, they’ve scored some crucial goals, players have come on and had a big impact in the game. So we know it’s a squad game,” said Maguire. “Obviously everyone wa

New Video of the Black Knight Alien Satellite in Space

Image
Just for those of you who still don’t know, the Black Knight is an artificial extra-terrestrial satellite that has been orbited around the Earth for almost 13.000 years. The satellite’s story is basically a recollection of many stories and many interpretations, all of them thoroughly documented and investigated by experts. The origins of the Black Knight dates back from 1889 when Nikola Tesla’s radio experiments noticed it accidentally. It was also noticed by an amateur operator called Jorgen Hals in Oslo, Norway in 1928. At the same time, in 1954 ufologist Donald Keyhoe told newspapers that the US Air force has detected two satellites orbiting around Earth, something that was impossible since no country had the Technology to launch a satellite. Moving forward in time, in 1960, TIME reported that the US Navy had detected a strange object that was thought to belong to the Soviet Union, however, an article revealed that the object in question was the remains of

The newly found site is at Court Farm, Kings Stanley near Stroud, Gloucestershire and was discovered by Sally and Neville Hollingworth, avid fossil collector

Turkey says Nordic NATO expansion unlikely before June

A senior Turkish official says Sweden and Finland are unlikely to be able to join NATO before June ISTANBUL -- Sweden and Finland are unlikely to be able to join NATO before June, a senior Turkish official said Saturday. The Nordic states applied to join the Western Military alliance in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but their membership must be approved by all 30 NATO states. Only Turkey and Hungary have yet to approve the deal, with Ankara linking accession to stricter counterterrorism measures. “It really depends on how fast they move and how wide and deep they move on these issues,” said Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman and foreign policy adviser for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “What they’re telling us is the new laws will be fully effective and completed by June, but maybe there are some things they can do before," Kalin said. Turkey has demanded that Sweden and Finland tighten laws to rein in the activities of supporters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, and a

Elden Ring Fan Turns Tarnished Into Luffy With One Piece Mod

YouTuber Prod has uncovered a new Elden Ring mod that gives the player and bosses a One Piece coat of paint, turning Margit the Fell Omen into Borsalino and the Tarnished into Luffy. Venture further into Stormveil Castle and you'll find Godrick has been replaced with Akainu - weirdly enough, it all fits. Perhaps the biggest change comes to Melina, who is now Silvers Rayleigh or the 'Dark King'. He'll awkwardly kneel by you at the bonfire, as Melina does, and offer himself up as your maiden. Had he done that to Luffy in the Manga, One Piece would have been a very different story.
