Saturday 8/5/23:

Cold front moves through with showers expected in the early morning. Partial clearing occurs as high pressure begins to build in from the southwest. Morning lows in the mid 60’s rise to afternoon highs in the low 80’s with a light west to northwesterly breeze.

It’s a “B” day!

Sunday 8/6/23:

High pressure settles in with partly cloudy skies and pleasantly dry air. Morning lows in the low 60’s and afternoon highs in the low 80’s with a light breeze shifting from northerly to southerly late.

It’s an “A-” day!

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena.

New Video of the Black Knight Alien Satellite in Space

Just for those of you who still don’t know, the Black Knight is an artificial extra-terrestrial satellite that has been orbited around the Earth for almost 13.000 years. The satellite’s story is basically a recollection of many stories and many interpretations, all of them thoroughly documented and investigated by experts. The origins of the Black Knight dates back from 1889 when Nikola Tesla’s radio experiments noticed it accidentally. It was also noticed by an amateur operator called Jorgen Hals in Oslo, Norway in 1928.     When flying in an aircraft you aren’t always guaranteed the best terrain in the world to take off or land from. Landing and takeoffs also require a lot of space which is also isn’t always likely to happen. Vertical takeoff has always been a desired feature for aircraft and one of the first planes to implement it was the Bell X-22. Powered by four ducted fans the X-22 made its debut in the mid-1960s. It was a spacious aircraft with seating for two pilots and up to six passengers or a maximum payload of 1,200 lbs. It could hover to a height of 8,000 feet, fly at speeds just over 300 mph with a range of 450 miles. Two X-22 prototypes were built and tested, but sadly one was ɩoѕt to a сгаѕһ саᴜѕed by problems with hydraulics.
